The body of a man, apparently a victim of summary execution, was fished out of the water of Manila Bay near the San Lazaro Harbor Center in Vitas, Tondo, Manila.
The man’s remains were stuffed inside a rice sack. His head was wrapped with duct tape.
P/SMS. Jero Santos, a homicide investigator of the Manila Police District, described the deceased as 40 to 50 years old and 5’7” to 5’9” tall. He was clad in black shirt and black short pants.
The gruesome discovery came about as the victim’s foot jutted out from the sack. The body was brought to the Cruz Funeral Home for autopsy and safekeeping until it can be claimed by relatives.
