The central bank has donated P35 million to five health institutions to provide healthcare services, an official said.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has been supporting institutions whose primary mission is to provide healthcare services, especially to
low-income families.
Public health is at the core of a resilient society, and indeed, it teaches us that public health is important to the economy’s health. Today, we again extend our hand — to help the Filipino people, BSP Governor Felipe Medalla said in a statement.
Moreover, the governor has led the turnover of checks to; the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) worth P15 million, Philippine General Hospital (PGH) worth P5 million, Philippine Heart Center (PHC) worth P5 million, Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) worth P5 million, and National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) worth P5 million.
Also present in the turnover are the representatives of the institutions such as PRC chairperson Richard Gordon, PGH Director Gerardo Legaspi, PHC Executive Director Joel Abanilla, LCP Executive Director Vincent Balanag Jr., and NKTI OIC Executive Director Romina Danguilan.
