The team of Sen. Bong Go went to Baseco, Manila to provide immediate assistance to residents whose houses were damaged by a recent fire incident in Barangay 649.
Go’s team distributed masks, vitamins, grocery packs, and meals to the affected families at the Baseco covered court on Monday, 8 August.
Go sent support to the 39 affected families and gave them reassurance that the modernization of the Bureau of Fire Protection is well underway to help it deal with fire-related incidents faster and more efficiently.
The BFP Modernization Act of 2021, which Go primarily authored and co-sponsored, mandates the agency to undergo a ten-year modernization program which includes the provision of specialized training, expansion of manpower, and acquisition of new and advanced fire equipment, among others.
