According to Police Regional Office 3 director PB General Matthew Baccay, the two former rebels voluntarily surrendered to the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF ELCAC) 3 member agencies.
The former rebels were identified as alias Ritchie and alias Dagohoy.

His surrender was facilitated by operatives from the Aurora 1st PMFC together with personnel of Provincial Intelligence Unit, Aurora PPO, PIT Aurora RIU3, NICA 3, CIDG AURORA, IOS RID3, 91st IB PA, Maria Aurora MPS.
Ritchie turned over one cal .38 revolver without serial number with three live ammunition and one rifle grenade.
Alias Dagohoy, on the other hand, is believed to be a former member of Milisyang Bayan. He voluntarily surrendered to authorities and turned over a cal. 22 submachine gun, one magazine for cal. 22 submachine gun, 11 pieces of live ammunition of Cal. 22 and one rifle grenade.
“The unremitting efforts of RTF ELCAC have been the contributory factors for the continuous surrender of more active and former members of communist terrorist groups as well as withdrawal of support of their sympathizers and supporters,” Baccay said.
