Negros Oriental solon gives back

Negros Oriental Third District Representative Arnie Teves has gave back to his constituents by providing needed and timely assistance to them as he celebrated his birthday on 10 August.

“Instead of holding parties, I celebrate my birthday by providing assistance to those who really need it,” said Teves. “While it may be not much, it is enough to assure our constituents that their local officials are doing everything to extend help.”

The lawmaker distributed thousands of food packs to different barangays in the province and even conducted raffle draws with household appliances as prices.

Teves also provided P2,000 to those who have the same birthdate.

He also provided hygiene packs and lunch meals to patients of the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, while his brother – Governor Henry Teves – conducted a feeding program and provided hygiene kits to inmates and jail officers at the Negros Oriental Provincial Jail.

The solon, meantime, also conducted an online raffle through his Facebook account and gave 51 winners P2,000 each.

Teves is hard at work again following the resumption of sessions at the House of Representatives.
