Rita Ora marries director Taika Waititi

British singer and songwriter Rita Ora married Marvel’s Thor: Love And Thunder director Taika Waititi in an intimate ceremony in London.

According to an exclusive report from UK tabloid The Sun and E! Online, the ceremony was “super special for everyone. Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are.”

It is also added that Ora changed her name to Rita Waititi-Ora.

“Despite living in the spotlight, Rita is determined to keep the relationship as private as possible and didn’t want to make a big song and dance about the wedding,” a source said.

Though the couple haven’t posted any official wedding announcement, photos or videos on their social media accounts, Ora’s latest Instagram update sparked speculation that she and Waititi had tied the knot.

The said photos show Ora with a gold band on her fourth finger, causing followers to suggest a “secret” marriage.

The singer and director are thought to have met back in March 2021, going on to make things red carpet official in August of the same year.

Ora’s marriage to Waititi comes two years after the latter and his then-wife, New Zealand film producer Chelsea Winstanley, separated in 2018 after seven years of marriage. The former couple have two daughters, Te Hinekahu and Matewa Kiritapu who are both in grade school year-old.
