STI places second in Huawei ICT competition
After high-placing performances in the Philippine and
Asia-Pacific round, STI students Mharjon Abante, Roy Molod Jr., and Renante Burgos Jr. won second place in the Network Track of the Huawei ICT Competition Global Finals
2021-2022 held 17 to 18 June.

Their win in the national round held in September 2021 handed them tickets to the regional round where they finished third among the 21 APAC candidates.

After eight hours of configuring IP addresses and firewalls, the group was able to finish the competition on a high note by bagging second place in the international round.

“The coaching experience was fulfilling for me primarily because I have witnessed them almost reach their dream careers,” said Peña who also bagged the Excellent Instructor with Level A award.

De La Salle Lipa announces new president
The De La Salle Lipa recently announced the appointment of Br. Edmundo “Dodo” L. Fernandez FSC as its sixth Brother President.

Fernandez’s journey as a dedicated educator with decades of expertise in the field commenced at the De La Salle Lipa in 1993 when he first served as a form teacher and taught religion. His superiors soon recognized his leadership potential and promoted him to Administrative Assistant for Upper Years.

He has since served major positions with the De La Salle Brothers. He was the first Brother Visitor of the Lasallian East Asia District, an alliance of Lasallian schools in Asia. Currently, he is the president of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and La Salle Green Hills.

He was likewise elected president of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities.

LPU Pirates champion
of CCE Season 1
The Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates defeated San Sebastian College-Recoletos in the championship of the inaugural season of the first esports varsity cup, the CCE.

The LPU team consists of Paul Huang, Fonso Sales, March Eusebio, Ralph Araz, Mark Delos Reyes and MJ Balcita.

San Sebastian College-Recoletos took home the second place with members Jolo Denosta, Ken Ceron, Keiele Marin, Wyne Abcede, Miguel Diaz and Mark Asuncion. Meanwhile, College of Saint Benilde Astra placed third.

The tournament, held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, featured an appearance of Galaxy Racer’s content creator, Tukomi Twins.

Enderun unveils latest campus, multimedia arts scholarship
Aside from titshe College of Architecture and Design Building at McKinley Hill main campus, Enderun Colleges has opened its Design and Innovation Campus at Estancia Mall in Pasig City as an additional learning hub to house facilities for its multimedia arts program.

The 900-square-meter center has 26 rooms and features a multimedia studio, editing and audio laboratories, and a computer room. It is also outfitted with professional equipment to support students in developing their graphic design and animation skills.

The educational institution is also set to offer scholarships named after an esteemed roster of advisory board. Each grant may be awarded to one incoming freshman for up to 100 percent off the tuition per year, renewable for up to four years of study at Enderun.

The scholarship application is open for the incoming school year 2022 to 2023.
