Minor’s ‘rapist’ asked for ‘return bout’

A man accused of raping a 14-year-old minor was collared by members of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group Saturday night in an entrapment operation.

Collared at a Quezon Boulevard, Quiapo lodging house was one Junelle Talisay de Guzman while in the act of allegedly coercing the girl to have sex with him for the second time.

According to the minor, De Guzman forced her to have sex with him last 13 August after he earlier convinced her to send compromising photos and videos. He used the images to blackmail her, she said.

On Saturday, De Guzman called for a “repeat performance,” but the girl told her family about the threats. They then filed a complaint with the police.

P/Brig. Gen. Joel Doria, head of the PNP-ACG urged parents to supervise the online activities of their children to help avert their being preyed upon by criminals and perverts.

“Safeguarding your children’s safety is not solely the responsibility of the PNP but yours as well,” Doria said.

De Guzman is facing a string of cases, including statutory rape, engaging in child pornography, grave threat, coercion and violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The arrested suspect was detained at the PNP-ACG custodial facility pending his inquest.
