48 wanted in Caloocan fall in 1 day

Caloocan City Police apprehended 48 individuals with warrants of arrest on various cases this Wednesday.

According to Caloocan City Chief PCol. Samuel Mina, the sting of the 48 individuals with different cases was line in the city government intent to clear the list of wanted individuals in the city.

“The directive to us is to clear the list of the most wanted in the city. That’s why the Caloocan City Police is trying to contact different agencies to arrest our public enemies,” PCol. Mina said.

As stated in the spot report from CCPS, the said suspects face allegations of heinous crimes including frustrated homicide, robbery and physical injury.

The said operations were conducted by CCPS Warrant Section headed by PMaj. Jeraldson Rivera and Intel Section headed by PMaj. John Chua.

Meanwhile, in Malabon City, the alleged leader of a notorious crime group and his three companions who were involved in gun running and illegal drug activities fell in jail, after being arrested by the authorities last Wednesday night.

The arrest of Melvin De Jesus, 38, alleged leader of the Melvin Serrano Group; Mark Anthony De Jesus, 33; Kelvin De Jesus, 30, and Eddie Tornia, 33, all residents of Brgy. Hulong Duhat, ensued after the search operation conducted by the personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of Northern Metro Manila District Filed Unit (CIDG-MMDFU) under “Oplan Paglalansag” and “Oplan Salikop” at around 8:00 at night inside the suspect’s house.

According to CIDG-MMDFU chief PLt.Col. Jynleo Bautista, while the search warrant was being executed, the suspects resisted and pushed the operatives partikularly PCMSg. Roberto Borromeo, PSSg. Jake Balberde and PCpl. Rex Ivan Laurnana before heading off in different directions.

There was a shot chase until the suspects were cornered which resulted in their arrest.

The police recovered from the three, a .45 caliber pistol with a magazine loaded with two bullets, a .38 caliber revolver with three bullets and a black bag.

The operation was conducted through a search warrant issued by Malabon Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Antonia Largoza-Cantero for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act.
