BBM, 1st in Asean to speak at UNGA

President Marcos Jr. is expected to speak about economic recovery, food security, and agricultural productivity in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 20 September, Tuesday afternoon (New York time).

The Philippine chief executive is currently the 19th speaker on the first day of this year’s high-level General Debate, according to the UNGA’s official website.

He is set to deliver his speech at around 3:00 p.m. (Phil time 3:00 a.m. on 21 September).

Marcos will be the first leader of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to deliver a speech at the UNGA.

The Department of Foreign Affairs earlier said the President would also discuss climate change, rule of law, and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
