Super Typhoon ‘Karding’ expected to make landfall over Aurora tonight, 25 September

The Philippine weather bureau on 25 September said Super Typhoon “Karding” has further intensified as it moves to the northern part of Quezon and southern part of Aurora.

Pag-asa’s 11 a.m. bulletin said moderate to heavy rains will fall on Isabela, Aurora, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Isabela.

There will be light to moderate, and at times heavy rains over mainland Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Marinduque, Romblon, and the rest of Bicol Region until early afternoon.

Heavy to intense with at times torrential rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Aurora, Rizal, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands.

Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains will fall on Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Benguet, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Pangasinan, Cavite, Laguna, the central portion of Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, and the rest of Calabarzon and the Bicol Region from early afternoon of 25 September until early Monday morning of 26 September.

Super Typhoon “Karding” was spotted 175 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon with maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kilometers per hour.

It is moving northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour.
