BoC-NAIA clears over 200M jabs

The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA reported on Sunday that it has processed and cleared a total of 243,430,890 doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of September this year in its bid to fully support of the national government’s vaccination program.

It added that the port also processed a total of 3 million doses of Pfizer which arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in September.

To date, the Port cleared eight Covid-19 vaccine brands — AstraZeneca, Hayat-Vax, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V.

The BoC expedited the release and delivery of vaccines through advanced clearance procedures while the CoVax Special Handling Task Force — composed of members from the BoC’s security and operations unit — secured the vaccines.
