Pebbles lived a ‘long, happy life’

Julie Gregory, owner of Pebbles, the Toy Fox Terrier who held the Guinness as the world’s oldest dog, said that her pet spent days “enjoying country music and being loved.”

On 3 October, the 22-year-old pooch passed away from natural causes at her home in Taylor, South Carolina, USA. She would have been 23 in five months.

Pebbles was born 28 March 2000 in Long Island, NY, USA. She was adopted by the Gregorys the same year.

According to Guinness, after the former oldest living dog TobyKeith, a chihuahua aged 21 years old, was recognized, Julie and her husband Bobby applied Pebbles for the record.

She was afforded the title just this May.

Pebbles mothered 32 puppies across three different litters with her partner Rocky, also a Toy Fox Terrier, who passed in 2017 at the age of 16.

“Pebbles was not just another dog; she had her own way about her, and her own personality. She was a once in a lifetime companion, and it was our honor to have had the blessing to have had her as a pet,” Julie wrote in a statement.

Run free, Pebbles.

Celebrity ‘fur-rents’

Megan Young and Mikael Daez are the new ambassadors for Doggo, the local dog care brand.

Together with their furbaby Soba, Megan and Mikael are ecstatic to represent paw-rents who are looking for the perfect partner in caring for their dogs, and have found one through Doggo’s treats, care products and accessories.

Megan and Mikael are fur-parents to Soba, a poodle they got at their wedding in January 2020. The couple then welcomed another toy poodle, Chia, to their growing family which also includes their cat Salem.

Partnering with Doggo is an opportunity that resonates with the two, especially after feeling the fulfillment that comes with being a dog parent. “We’ve fallen in love with Soba and part of that love means that we want to care for her in the best way possible. We want to provide the right products for her, find the right brand that carries these products, and that is what Megan and I have with Doggo,” says Mikael.

Apart from food, Doggo is also adding the Madre de Cacao with Jeju Extract variant to its shampoos and conditioners, and a couple of new flavors for its dog treats.
