Covid-19 is no joke.
People can get sick at any moment and could pass the virus to another person. Being wary is necessary during these times.
Since most of the students are now back in school for face-to-face classes, the stress level has doubled. We have to deal with school lessons as well as the threat of Covid infection. But, we need to remember something that is foundational for a healthy mindset: Advices of your teachers come in handy, not only in school, but also in life.
Teachers care for us in ways like a parent would. They are more experienced than us, hence, their advice is essential to our lives.
1. “Even if you go fast, it won’t matter if the answers are wrong.” Take, for example, an exam. If you don’t take it seriously and don’t review answers, your efforts will go to waste. Same with disinfecting.
Don’t be in a hurry to do so because you’ll just be susceptible to sickness.
2. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.” We can’t do everything on our own and that’s a fact. At some point, we may find ourselves asking for help from our teachers and classmates which is normal. Being able to communicate to others is important during this time of the pandemic, too.
3. “Treasure the moments of your young life; they will be gone soon.” This is usually overlooked. Some of us do not appreciate being in a classroom with classmates and friends, with others taking it for granted. When we’re older, it’s best to have memories to look back on.
4. “What is important is what you have learned.” The pandemic has affected the education sector viciously. Yet, as they say, “without struggle nothing is achieved.”
As we push ourselves onwards into what seems to be, hopefully, the tail end of the pandemic, we should take time to reflect on what we learned from the pieces of advice that our teachers have given us. There will be more challenges that we will need to confront, and these words we can use as an arsenal in overcoming them.
