Art is alive and well at Yeosu, a coastal city in the south of Jeollanam-do province, South Korea.
Unbeknownst to many, Yeosu is one of Korea’s picturesque places. It is blessed with cool summers and mellow winters due to the sea wind and moderate currents from surrounding bodies of water.
Visiting Yeosu was a privilege that Philippine media had recently with the Korea Tourism Organization Manila office and the Jeollanam-do Tourism Organization.

Yeosu Art Land
Yeosu Art Land houses the largest AR 3D Trick Art Museum in South Korea.
This local hotspot is also famous for its extreme swing, ocean skywalk, and 50-m tunnel art sculptures where Midas’ Hand overlooks the port city.
Take the bus at Yeosu Bus Terminal or train at Yeosu Expo Station. Catch either a taxi or another bus to arrive at Art Land. Yeosu Art Land is at 142-1 Musulmok-gil, Dolsan-eup, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do.
Yeosu Arte Museum
Arte Museum is a public museum, the largest immersive media art exhibition in South Korea.
The grand space is a feast for the eyes with its colorful media art exhibitions that mixes lights, sounds, and even fragrance.
The media artworks at Arte Museum center around the theme “Eternal Nature.” Its current exhibitions are:
· Live Sketchbook brings to life the colorful animal drawings of visitors onto the widescreen.
· Pink lagoon features silhouettes of flamingos strolling the mystic sea.
· Endless surreal beach depicts the splendor of the aurora and the ocean’s fierce waves.
· Masterpieces in the garden of light highlights the works of the represented masters in Western art history from the Renaissance to Symbolism.
