A woman gave chase to two suspected robbers in Quezon City, resulting in their arrest Saturday by cops on patrol in Quezon City.
A report to P/Lt. Col. Von June Nuyda identified the suspects as Marlon Macalla, 21; and Aladin Gabayero, 22; both residents of Barangay Gulod in Novaliches.
Macalla and Gabayero were chased by the female neighbor of their alleged victim whose house they forcibly entered by destroying the main door knob.
The woman was constantly shouting for help as she was chasing Macalla and Gabayero thereby catching the attention of cops aboard their patrol vehicle.
Recovered from the suspects were the stolen goods, including a smartphone, two wristwatches and gold necklace.
Macalla and Gabayero will be charged with robbery before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office today.
Quezon City police chief P/Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre II lauded the prompt response of P/Cpls. Jonathan Gragasin and Christopher Babia, leading to the suspects’ arrest.
The woman who chased the suspects put her own life in danger, the owner of the looted house said, thanking her.
