The office of Sen. Bong Go provided assistance to struggling residents in Alaminos City, Dasol and Mabini in Pangasinan on Friday, 21 October.
In his video message, Go vowed that he will continue assisting the most disadvantaged communities across the country, listening to the concerns of vulnerable sectors, and providing necessary aid to help them cope with the challenges and sustain their daily necessities.
Meanwhile, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go urged all Pangasinense to remain vigilant and compliant with the recommended health protocols despite the latest order making the wearing of masks optional in open spaces, or non-crowded outdoor areas with good ventilation.
The senator then urged unvaccinated yet eligible residents to keep supporting the country’s COVID-19 response efforts by participating in the national inoculation drive. He stressed the critical role of vaccines in restoring normalcy in the country.
Held at the Don Leopolo Sison convention center in Alaminos City, Go’s team handed out snacks, masks and shirts to a total of 1,200 residents. They likewise gave away cellular phones, bicycles, shoes, and balls for basketball to select individuals.
Meanwhile, a team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development extended livelihood assistance to help uplift the lives of the residents.
