Five most wanted persons for rape charges were arrested in a series of arrest warrant operations, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group reported on Tuesday.
CIDG chief Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said the suspects — identified as John Lester Gado, Jonathan Nolasco, Arnel Binas, Adrian Sequijor and Bernard Posadas were arrested during simultaneous “Oplan Pagtugis” operations on Monday.
Gado, ranked number 3 most wanted person at the provincial level in Batangas, was arrested at Barangay Piña, Taysan, Batangas, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of rape through sexual assault with P200,000 recommended bail.
Nolasco, meantime, was arrested by the operatives of CIDG Cavite at Barangay Burol Main, Dasmariñas City, Cavite due to warrant of arrest for Violation of RA 8353, rape through sexual assault with no bail recommended.
The CIDG South Cotabato field unit apprehended Binas for the crime of rape with no bail recommended.
Verified reports provide that Binas is listed as a most wanted person in Banga Municipal Police Station and is the leader of “Nunoy Group” which is involved in some rape incidents in the Municipality of Banga South Cotabato and nearby Municipalities, victimizing innocent women.
