Phl rule of law index ranking rises

The Philippine National Police on Thursday has welcomed the improved ranking of the Philippines in the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2022 released recently.

PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said that the police force is proud of its own initiatives in reforming police systems and procedures in order to cope with the ever-changing demand for better police service to the communities.

“I sincerely thanked all Police Officers and other stakeholders who have worked diligently to achieve this milestone for our country, and urged everyone to continually perform their sworn duties with dedication and commitment,” Azurin said.

On Wednesday, the WJP reported that from 102nd place in 2021, the Philippines climbed to 97th place this year out of 140 countries in complying with rule of law. The country scored 0.47 in overall index, which is higher compared to its 0.46 record in 2021.
