‘Ghost’ forces murder suspects’ surrender

Two murder suspects were forced to surrender in Caloocan City, Wednesday night when the ghost of the man they killed allegedly haunted them.

The suspects were identified by the Caloocan City Police as Joseph Bacierra, 24, and Rico Gruta, 25, both of Barangay 165. The two surrendered around 7:30 p.m. and confessed to the crime they committed. Both will face murder charges.

The two are the main suspects in the killing of Mark Anthony Baranda, 28, also a local resident.

It was learned that a truck driver sought help from the security guards when he discovered the body of the victim with his neck slashed along Vista Verde Avenue, Vista Verde Subdivision, Barangay 166, Caybiga around 4:20 in the morning on Tuesday.

His remains were taken to Jenne Funeral Homes for an autopsy.

With the help of closed-circuit television footage, the police identified the two suspects but did not catch them in their homes until they finally surrendered, when allegedly the ghost of Bacierra haunted them.
