Anti-drug operatives of Taguig City arrested two male painters whom they chanced upon in connection with the one-time, big-time operation Wednesday night.
The arrested suspects will be charged with alleged violation of Sec. 11 of Art. II of Republic Act 9165 and RA 10591, whom the police accosted along BPTHAI 1, Barangay Ibayo Tipas, Taguig City at about 6 p.m.
P/Brig.Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, Southern Police District Director identified the suspects as Zaldy Calupas y Javier, 37 years old, Painter and Ronnel Trapago y Quinto, 34 years old.
Report had it that personnel of Substation 5 Taguig conducted Oplan Galugad in relation to one-time, big-time operation when they chanced upon the two painters in possession and control of illegal drugs that resulted in their arrest.
Confiscated from the two painters were six medium size and one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 50.1 grams valued at P340,680, one black digital weighing scale, one pink pouch and one super caliber .38 pistol with one magazine loaded with four live ammunition.
Recovered drug evidence was turned over to SPDFU for qualitative and quantitative analysis while complaints for violation of Sec. 11 of Art. II of RA 9165 and RA 10591 are being prepared against the suspects.
