Bloomberry sales jump 89% in Q3

The Enrique Razon-led Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, operator of Solaire Resort and Casino and Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino, has posted a surge of performance in the third quarter of the current year, amid the headwinds brought about by the still ongoing pandemic.

Based on its unaudited results released Wednesday, the total Gross Gaming Revenue or GGR at Solaire was P13.4 billion, representing an increase of 89 percent from P7.1 billion in the third quarter.

Also, Solaire’s VIP rolling chip volume, mass table drop, and slot coin-in posted P132.8 billion, P10.6 billion, and P85.1 billion, respectively, representing year-over-year growth of 23 percent, 77 percent, and 118 percent.

The report said growth across all segments was driven by strong domestic demand supported by much easier Covid-19 mobility and travel restrictions both locally and within the Asian region.

GGR up across the board

VIP, mass table, and electronic gaming machine GGRs were P4.7 billion, P4.4 billion, and P4.3 billion, representing year-over-year increases of 136 percent, 61 percent, and 81 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the consolidated net revenue was P10.1 billion, representing an increase of 97 percent year-over-year.

On the other hand, the combined earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization or EBITDA was P3.6 billion, representing a 301 percent increase from P910.1 million in the same quarter last year.
