The Philippines and Vietnam will strengthen the “growing bilateral cooperation” between their defense forces.
This was discussed after the Vietnam People’s Army chief of the General Staff and Vice Minister of National Defense visited the Philippine Navy headquarters earlier this week.
VPA chief senior Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong and PN Commodore Jose Ma Ambrosio Ezpeleta exchanged ideas and best practices on cooperation as well as issues concerning Philippine-Vietnam relations.
Both officials emphasized the importance of maintaining open lines of communication in the course of better collaboration.
Ezpeleta said Vietnam’s high-ranking defense officials are an opportunity that would really boost the existing bilateral armed forces cooperation of the two countries.
