First Lady Liza Marcos: ‘I’m sick and tired of people using my name’

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is “sick and tired” of aspirants “using” her name to get an edge on other candidates for presidential appointments.

In a video message released to reporters on Saturday, the President’s wife belied allegations that she is influencing the selection process for government positions.

“I have nothing to do with the appointments. I leave that up to my husband,” Araneta-Marcos said.

“And if I find out that somebody is using my name, I shall tell my husband not to appoint you, okay? So, I hope this is clear.”

While the wife of President Bongbong Marcos Jr. did not mention certain individuals using her name to their advantage, she specifically mentioned that she “has nothing to do” with the selection and appointment of officials at the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

“I just want everyone to know that I have nothing to do with ISAFP. I don’t know the people involved,” she said.
