ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Bureau of Customs-Port of Zamboanga has collected over P10.7 billion in duties from local importers and traders in Zamboanga peninsula or Region 9 and Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces last year, exceeding its target goal collection by about P507 million.
BoC Zamboanga City district collector Segundo Barte Jr. on Wednesday reported that his office has collected a total of P10,766,153,393.68 billion last year, exceeding their target goal collection by about P507,029,238.91 million.
This, as the BoC Central office has tasked the local Customs office here to collect P10,259,130,000 billion last year, an increase of about P4,049,040,000 as compared to the 2021 target goal collection of only P6,210,090,000 billion.
This is the fifth year that BoC in this city led by Barte has exceeded the target goal collection.
