The local government of Manila is offering a relatively inexpensive way of celebrating the love month of February, especially on Valentine’s Day on the 14th.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna said they are bringing back “MayniLove” at the Mehan Garden in Ermita, Manila starting yesterday until the 17th, opening from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Facundo said admission is free and those who will visit Mehan Garden will enjoy a fine-dining experience without breaking the bank.
Music will be provided by the Wish 107.5 bus on 3, 6 and 10 of February featuring live performances from local artists. Giveaways will include food and gift items, flowers, chocolates and stuff toys.
Also adding spice are several booths like photo kiosks.
“We also have “Puppy Love” for dog lovers and playpen for their fur babies plus more surprises from our partners,” he said. The pets must be made to wear diapers, he added.
Surprise gifts await couples who will be randomly chosen once caught on camera.
Booths selling various items including street food can also be found inside.
MayniLove has been a regular during the incumbency of then-mayor Isko Moreno, but the Covid-19 pandemic somehow played a damper in its last two stagings.
But with virus restrictions eased and with the majority of Filipinos already vaccinated, this year’s MayniLove is expected to draw amorous couples to Mehan Garden.
