Four drug personalities including three high-value individuals were arrested by the Southern Police District drug enforcement unit in simultaneous anti-drug operations in Taguig City.
At about noontime Thursday, SPD-DEU and Taguig City DEU conducted a drug sting along 9th Street, Zone 1, Barangay North Signal Village, Taguig City leading to the apprehension of two drug personalities.
Brig. General Kirby John Brion Kraft, director of SPD, identified the suspects as Samson Laberento Balan, alias “Butat,” 30 years old; and Ma. Elaine Gorospe Alcala, 33.
Seized from them were six heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 72 grams worth P489,600.
Other pieces of evidence confiscated were a cellular phone, a red pouch, and one genuine P1,000 bill on top of P9,000 worth of boodle money.
The operatives conducted another buy-bust operation resulting in the arrest of two high-value individuals and the confiscation of P523,600 worth of suspected shabu.
The suspects were identified as Kamarudin Intem Blah, 30; and Joy Gansiko Ensomo, 34.
Seized from the suspects were three sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 77 grams.
Non-drug pieces of evidence recovered from the operation included the buy-bust money consisting of a P1,000 bill, P15,000 in boodle money, one motorcycle, and an analog phone.
Those arrested were brought to the SPD district drug enforcement unit and charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165.
