LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — The Municipal Trial Court of La Trinidad, Benguet fined a local vlogger for the crime of gender-based online sexual harassment.
In a two-page decision, MTC Judge Mylene May G. Adube-Cabuag stated that the court finds Renan L. Padawi known by his vlog name “Jackfloyd Sawyer” guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Violation of Section 12 of Republic Act 11313, Gender-Based Online Sexual Harassment. This was because of his vlog content where he verbally sexually threatened a woman who just posted her thoughts.
In his vlog posted on his facebook page published on 2022 28 July.
He made his sexist remarks and comments and insulted the complainant being a woman. He blurted statements like “kulang ka lang sa dilig”; “Ano ka ba, Sino ka ba? Gusto mong magface-to-face tayo?

Second, through Facebook, an online social networking site, he used information and communications technology in terrorizing the complainant. In a four-page resolution last year, the Benguet Prosecutors Office stressed that the respondent known as “Jackfloyd Sawyer” in his facebook page clearly committed the offense by uploading on his page a video throwing unsavory words to the complainant who is a woman. “On 28 July 2022, a certain Jackfloyd Sawyer uploaded a video on Facebook whereby he castigated me for calling out to the president.
