Lakas-CMD maintains its control of the House of Representatives by electing new officers and growing its membership to steamroll legislative support to the presidential agenda.
Bringing its total members to 68, Lakas-CMD is now one of the biggest political groups in the House.
Elected with Speaker Martin Romualdez and Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, who reassumed the presidency and high chair respectively, were former President-turned Senior Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of Pampanga as chairperson emeritus, former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. as co-chairperson emeritus, Senator Bong Revilla Jr. as co-chairperson, Capiz Governor Fredenil Castro as vice chairperson, and House Majority Leader and Zamboanga City Representative “Mannix” Dalipe as executive vice president.
The other officers are Representatives Jose Aquino ll of Agusan del Norte, secretary general; Samantha Santos of North Cotabato, deputy secretary general; David Suarez of Quezon, treasurer; and others.
