The 35th Mango Tee ended on Saturday night with two lucky players going home with the tournament’s biggest prizes — brand-new cars that were raffled off during the well-attended awarding ceremonies held outdoors at the Alabang Country Club.
Bobby Inigo could not believe his name was called as the winner of the Nissan Kicks E-Power VE worth close to P1.4 million. He raised his arms in jubilation and rushed to get his prize.
Minutes earlier, Zosimo Mercado sprinted from the veranda to claim the MG 1.5 Alpha AT 2022 worth more than P800,000.
It was the climax of the night’s festivities touched off by Martin Nievera’s rendition of his greatest hits.
Trophies were awarded to the winners led by overall net champions Raymond Anthony Mendoza and Paulo Legaspi and overall gross titlists Jorge Gallent and Junjun Plana.
Aside from the cars, an assortment of television sets, range finders, gadgets, business-class tickets, jewelry and cash prizes were given away.
Hosts Derek Ramsay and Kathy Ong led a host of celebrities present, including former Senate President Tito Sotto, his younger brother Vic and Ramsay’s wife, Ellen Adarna.
It was indeed a night to remember.
