The Philippine peso on Monday, 6 February, depreciated to P54.39 per US Dollar from its P53.68 finish last Friday.
The local currency’s weakness showed early on the first trading day of the week when it opened the day at P54.15 from the previous session’s P53.93.
It traded between P54.47 and P54.12 against the greenback, resulting in an average of P54.279.
Volume declined to $1.05 billion from the previous session’s $1.17 billion.
