The Office of Civil Defense on Sunday reported that infrastructure damages brought by the magnitude 6 earthquake which rocked Compostela, Davao de Oro on 1 February has gone up to P21.48 million.
In its Disaster Media Bulletin, the OCD said that 203 infrastructures in the province have been damaged, although there are no significant damages in roads and bridges in the area.
However, at least 543 houses have reportedly been damaged.
The figure is significantly higher than the P18 million reported by the OCD-Davao Region last Friday, with 149 infrastructures that have been damaged. They have also previously reported four national roads and one bridge that have been affected by the earthquake.
At least 83 families and 340 individuals have reportedly been affected by the earthquake. Electricity in the province has also been restored.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology first reported the magnitude 6 earthquake in Davao de Oro on Wednesday night. They have since reported around 871 aftershocks in the province.
