The Anti-Red Tape Authority, an agency under the Office of the President, recognized the Department of Trade and Industry as one of the government agencies that demonstrated exemplary
performance based on the results of the administered Report Card Survey initiated by ARTA in coordination with the Civil Service Commission and the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Report Card Survey 2.0 is a scorecard of government agencies that measures their effective implementation of the Citizen’s Charter and their efficiency of government service delivery.
Top-rating agencies
Fifteen out of the 48 agencies managed to obtain an RCS score of 85 percent or above, making them eligible to receive the ARTA award. DTI ranks second among the national government agencies which bagged the Silver Award for achieving a very satisfactory rating of 90.81 percent during the recent pilot implementation of the scheme.
Undersecretary Bles Lantayona of DTI Regional Operations Group received the plaque of recognition and check on behalf of Trade Secretary Fred Pascual.
“It is a singular honor for the department to receive the award and because of this, rest assured that the DTI will intensify the performance of its mandate,” Lantayona said.
