It’s okay to rave over celebrities met in person, but not at work and certainly not in supposedly secured areas like airports.
Some security screening personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will be placed under investigation after videos of them conducting checks on members of the Korean boy band ENHYPEN have gone viral.
Members of the band were flying out of Manila when they were subjected to what the Office of Transport Security dubbed as “unwarranted filming” that violated their privacy rights.
“The management is currently investigating the matter to determine the extent of violation committed based on existing rules and security screening protocols if any, and impose appropriate administrative sanctions, should it be necessary,” a statement issued by the OTS read.
The band held a three-day concert in the Philippines as part of its 13-city “Manifesto Tour” in South Korea, the United States, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines.”
The OTS said the filming of the band members was in violation of its protocol and smacked of unprofessional conduct by those involved.
“While we understand the excitement brought about by the presence of these Korean artists, we remind not only our personnel, but all airport users, that unauthorized filming at our security screening checkpoints is not allowed as a matter of policy,” the OTS added.
“Rest assured that the OTS shall never tolerate any unprofessional behavior towards the riding public,” it added.
