Police discovered 27 kilos of suspected shabu worth P183 million in an abandoned car in Parañaque City, Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said on Thursday.
Based on the report submitted by Parañaque City Police, Kraft said that Mark Joseph Espinosa, barangay tanod of Barangay Tambo noticed an abandoned motor vehicle along Quirino Avenue corner M. Delos Santos Street around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Kraft said Espinosa requested police assistance from Parañaque City Police Tambo Substation around 2 a.m. Thursday to inspect the abandoned vehicle red Toyota Innova with plate number CDI 9724.
Upon initial inspection, the police officers noted that all doors are closed but unlocked, all outside features of the vehicle were intact, all the windows and windshield are semi-tainted but still visible inside and no sign of contraband was seen inside the vehicle.
Police Officers also saw one brown backpack at the passenger seat, one box and one sack with still unknown contents.
Kraft said the crime scene processing conducted by personnel of Scene of the Crime Operation Parañaque revealed the contents of the vehicle were 27 vacuum-sealed tee packed allegedly containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, a white sack, a white plastic, one Lazada box, two photocopies of OR/CR Toyota Innova with plate number CDI 9729, a deed of sale of the Motor Vehicle, one OR/CR of Nissan Sentra TKS 429, two photocopies of driver’s license belonging to Ma. Teresa Fernandez, a photocopy of certificate of live birth, a copy of receiving payment, an identification card and a vaccination card belonging to Patani Barauntong, one power bank, one black FUBU shirt, a brown leather Backpack, one Nissan key, 37 pieces of P50 bill, one official receipt and a backpack.
The SPD chief said estimated 27 kilos of shabu with a standard drug price value of P183.6 million were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit.
The whereabouts of the unidentified male who exited the vehicle is still under investigation.
