The Quezon City police over the weekend arrested two men for theft of belongings inside a vehicle after a follow-up operation that stemmed from a review of closed-circuit TV footage showing the commission of the crime.
Quezon City Police District chief P/Brig.Gen. Nicolas Torre III, identified those arrested as Mark Charlo Penetrante Angeles, a 20-year-old Tondo resident; and Craig Priscilla, 19, of Quezon City.
Torre said the suspects were arrested by operatives of Masambong Police Station led by Col. Resty Damaso after they were identified as the persons who smashed the right passenger side window of the Toyota Hilux van of the complainant.
One Florante de la Cruz said he parked his car in front of a building along West Avenue when he discovered the theft of his belonging when he returned from a business meeting.
The police then looked at the CCTV footage to identify the getaway vehicle of the suspects, a Honda Civic sedan.
Angeles was identified through a search of the Philippine National Police electronic rogue gallery, while the car was traced to Priscilla.
Angeles was tagged in similar car theft incidents.
