Three separate drug buy-bust operations of police in Zamboanga City this week led to the arrest of eight suspects and seizure of P1.2 million worth of suspected meth or shabu, the Area Police Command-Western Mindanao reported yesterday.
The biggest drug confiscation was worth P850,000 from two suspects last Monday in Lanao del Sur province.
Fahad Pangcatan, 21, and Mohammad Aragasi, 20, were arrested at a checkpoint in Barangay Bato-Bato, Maguing town, Lanao del Sur around 9:30 p.m., Col. Richard Verceles, operations chief of APC-WM, said.
Suspected Baban Taman drug syndicate member Randy Gomeri, 31, a resident of Barangay Sangali, was arrested on Wednesday for trying to sell 21 grams of suspected shabu worth P142,800 to undercover cops, Brig. Gen. Neil Alinsan, Police Regional Office-9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) director, said.
Joy Saison, 41, a listed drug suspect, was arrested around 11:04 p.m. Thursday in Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City. She yielded some 25 grams of suspected shabu worth P170,000, Col. Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, said.
The other arrested suspects were identified as Gil Toncao, 37; Jayson Barredo, 36; Japeth Tubil, 33; and Jufel Samolde Bularon, 36.
