Pasig gets DoH grant

The Department of Health is giving P200,000 in financial grant to the Pasig City General Hospital, according to a city councilor.

“We already passed in the third and final reading the memorandum of agreement which will be signed by Mayor Vico Sotto for the grant that will be given to us by the Department of Health,” Councilor Eric Gonzales, chairperson of the Committee on Health and Sanitation, said.

“This will help us implement the universal health care as well as the no-balance billing,” he added.

Gonzales said that the fund may be replenished by the DoH once exhausted.

“Just submit the report where it was spent and then it will be replenished again,” Gonzales said, referring to their arrangement with the DoH.

“This is in addition to the subsidy provided by our local government,” he added.
