National University stamped its class in the United Basketball League as its teams won on separate age group levels recently.
The under-19 and under-17 teams of the Bullpups were able to outplay their respective rivals and continue their good showing in this tournament put up by former Philippine Basketball Association player and two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Allan Salangsang, who serves as commissioner.
Akowe Collins came up with another monster performance as he completed another double-double showing for the Bullpups under-19 team, which outlasted WCA Carabaos, 66-60.
Collins finished with 17 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks and a steal as his dominant showing allowed NU in scoring yet another win.
Thirdy Malaga added 10 points.
NU’s under-17 squad made it a double celebration after walloping Passion, 66-37.
Brayden Sagun and Kurl Figueroa had 10 points apiece to lead the way for NU.
