First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos has posted on social media a photo of herself and her two children celebrating Easter Sunday.
Liza and her sons Joseph Simon and William Vincent can be seen with Easter egg toys and bunny ears on their heads.
She captioned the photo simply with: “Happy Easter everyone!”
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for his part, wrote a brief message on his official Twitter account.
“We wish all the Filipino Christians in the Philippines and around the world a meaningful and solemn Easter Sunday,” the President said.
“May we see this day as a symbol of love and hope as we continuously call for unity and work for the progress of our nation. Happy Easter!” he added.
The Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country. Easter Sunday, falling on 9 April this year, marked the end of Holy Week with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
