For Jom and Yan Ongpin, it was the wedding that was meant to be.
The couple first met in friendly circumstances in Sydney. Yan was vacationing in Sydney with friends, and Jom happened to tag along. The two clicked. Jom was already so smitten that he found ways to see Yan again. Months after, they started dating officially. The couple eventually met each other’s family and traveled together.
Their relationship was tested by the pandemic when they were unable to see each other for the most part. When restrictions became less strict, they limited their dates to seeing each other in their respective homes. At this time Jom’s father passed away, and Yan was there for him all the way. They soon learned to adjust to the pandemic, and it made them closer to each other, their relationship stronger.
In September 2021, Jom and Yan got engaged and drew up plans for their wedding. Jom’s late father, Gabby, had intended to create a new venue in Bella Rosa Gardens, Silang, Cavite for his wedding with Yan. Jom’s special project for the wedding was to bring Papa Gabby’s vision to life, something that Gabby and wife Belle spearheaded in 2014. During the whole wedding planning process, Jom and Yan learned how to work together as a team. The lessons learned from this venture helped them start a new chapter together as a married couple.
The much-awaited wedding thus took place in what is now known as Our Lady of Ephesus Chapel in Bella Rosa Gardens. Their fun and memorable reception was at the Jardin de San Gabriel, also in Bella Rosa Gardens.
Bella Rosa is an ideal wedding place as it houses a church, a restaurant and a hotel. Located in historic Silang, Cavite, it is surrounded by lush greens,creating a breezy, peaceful setting. Indeed, this is the place to make that dream wedding come true.
