It’s all systems go for first leg of the Metropolitan Chess Center Standard Open training games set at 10 a.m. from 29 to 30 April at the ground floor of Starmall Edsa Shaw in Mandaluyong City.
Open to all untitled players, the two-day event will apply the seven-round Swiss System with time control of 40 minutes plus 2-second increment.
Up for grabs is a total pot of P30,000 with the champion pocketing the top purse of P7000. Cash prizes are broken down to 10 places. Consolation awards of P750 await the top scorers in the following categories: Seniors (60 and above); Juniors (male and female); and Kiddies (12-under and below, boy/girl),
