MPL eyes sellout crowd

The Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines expects thousands of fans to attend its Playoffs  from 4 to 7 May at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

Easily the most watched Esports event in the Philippines, the Season 11 Playoffs is set to welcome up to 2,000 fans as ECHO, Bren Esports, Blacklist International, RSG PH, ONIC PH, and Omega Esports battle for the $150,000 prize pool.

Other than the epic battles that are sure to deliver throughout the Playoffs, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fans will also be treated to a wide array of on-site activities like photo challenge. An MPL store will also be set up for fans to purchase exclusive merchandise that comes with a free Mobile Legends skin should they pay using MAYA.

“We are inching closer to the end of the season, but there are more activities to be anticipated by our beloved MPL Philippines community,” Moonton Games Marketing Lead for Esports Harry Leonardo said.

Aside from the prize pool and the MPL championship, a bigger reward is also at stake in the Playoffs as the champion and runner-up will get to represent the country in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup from 10 to 18 June at Aeon Mall Mean Chey in Phnom Penh.

What used to be a tournament meant for the Southeast Asian region, Mobile Legends developer Moonton has upped the stakes by making MSC an international competition with Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa, and North America joining the fray.

“This season is crucial as we have a crown to defend at the much-bigger MSC 2023. May we all continue supporting our teams and look forward to the fun playoffs season,” Leonardo added, referring to MSC 2022 champion RSG PH.

Ticket prices start at 199 pesos.
