Demoralization rocks PNP personnel, retirees (4)

There seems to be no end to the disgust and outrage of the men and women in uniform. The powerful social media is replete with negative narratives against the proposed re-programming or more accurately, dismantling of the present military and police pension, as well as its principal proponent, the Secretary of Finance.

To further show the depth of anger of the intended victims of the injustice, this column will re-produce in toto, another letter below that this columnist received in his daily public service show titled “Problema n’yo, ITAWAG KAY PANELO “aired over SMNI Network, Monday to Friday at 9 — 10 a.m.

The proponent of the ignitable pension proposal and those who support the same are advised to listen to these voices of protest and discontent before they are burned by the combustion, to wit:

“WITH DUE RESPECT MR. SECRETARY, DBM, DILG, DND, and the DOOMSDAY BELIEVERS,

WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS POOR, that THE PHILIPPINES is POOR but we DO BELIEVE THAT the majority of our COUNTRYMEN ARE POOR and OUR country is a 3rd world COUNTRY.

WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE PHILIPPINES is endowed with GOD-GIVEN NATURAL ABUNDANCE, like RICH HUMAN RESOURCES OF SCIENTISTs, INVENTORs, PROFESSIONALs, SKILLED WORKERs, and others which we export to other countries. We have Rich NATURAL RESOURCES, MINERALS, and more, which other RICH COUNTIES DO NOT HAVE.

But why are we POOR as a COUNTRY and as a PEOPLE?!

HINDI BA TRABAHO NG MGA ELECTED POLITICAL LEADERS NATIN (Isn’t it the job of elected political leaders) TO MANAGE ALL THESE GOD-GIVEN RESOURCES so that they will be used to BENEFIT OUR COUNTRY and our PEOPLE?

YOU ARE SAYING THAT THE PENSION SYSTEM of the POLICE and MILITARY MUST BE REFORMED TO AVOID A “FISCAL COLLAPSE”?

WOW!

I am sure our police, military and citizens are not blind to see the natural resources, and the abuse of power of corrupt politicians).

WHY SHOULD POLITICIANS BE ENTITLED TO BILLIONS OF ‘INTELLIGENCE FUNDS’? WHY ARE POLITICIANS ALLOWED TO SPEND PEOPLES MONEY for unworthy projects?

We have yet to see big-time politicians convicted of graft and corruption. What happened to the DAF and the PDAF, what happened to the MALAMPAYA funds, etc.?

Pwede ba ito muna ang tingnan ninyo?

Bakit yang PENSION FUND ng mga MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM ang whipping boy ng ating bureaucracy (Why has the pension fund of the men and women in uniform become the whipping boy of the bureaucracy)?

(To be continued)
