Typhoon Mawar heads closer to Taiwan on Tuesday night

Central Weather Bureau forecasted that Typhoon Mawar is coming closer to Taiwan on Tuesday (until Wednesday) as it slowly moves in a Northernly direction.

The typhoon’s center was located 450 kilometers East-Southeast of Eluanbi in a movement of 8 kilometers per hour in a Northernly direction having maximum sustained winds of 144 kph, and gusts of 180 kph in accordance to the CWB data.

Mawar’s storm circle already entered the Bashi Channel and waters off Taiwanl’s Southeastern coast.

Expected rainfall intensity is about to increase in the Northern parts of the country on Wednesday before slowly subsiding until Friday as it moves away from Taiwan.
