BAGUIO CITY — Eight pregnant mothers added color and excitement to the celebration of the 440th “Aggao Nac Cagayan” or Cagayan Day as they displayed their beauties and talents in the “Pretty Preggy” 2023 at SM City Tuguegarao at Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
Cagayan Provincial Assistant Health Officer Rebecca Battung thru the Cagayan Public Information Office said the “pretty preggy” candidates came from the municipalities of Lal-lo, Aparri, Buguey, Pamplona, Solana and Tuguegarao City.
She added that they are supported by their respective Municipal Local Governments, as the transportation and allowances of candidates were taken care of by their MLGUs to the venue.
Battung said the pageant for pregnant mothers of Cagayan is a symbolic one, with a message that being pregnant should not lower the confidence of women of their selves. She stressed they should be proud for who they are carrying their babies for months.
The Provincial Health Office held the “pretty preggy” to also promote awareness on safe pregnancy until the delivery of babies.
