Despite the undeniable noise caused by the “Love the Philippines” ad mess, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. still believes that Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco will not back out and will have everything fixed.
When asked if the Tourism secretary still has her trust, PBBM replied with a firm “Yes absolutely. No question”.
The president also added, “I believe she has it under control, she knows what to do. What she has done so far inspires confidence that she will fix the problem and that the campaign of ‘Love The Philippines’ will be as successful as we hope for it to be.”
The audio-visual for the new tourism slogan “Love the Philippines” was shown last 27 June where it earned criticisms after using footage from foreign countries.
Frasco as stated by the president is now on track in assessing the problem to work out the success of the new slogan which she claimed to be in recognition of the Philippines’ natural assets, its long history, and the country’s rich culture and diversity.
