Remulla vows thorough probe of NBI dance incident

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla yesterday said the DOJ will conduct a deeper probe into the provocative dance number by an invited performer at the National Bureau of Investigation’s mid-year conference that was heavily criticized by the public.

“We should looked into the incident with calmness, because we could reach a better appreciation of the matter. Mahirap kapag mainit ang ulo,” said Remulla.

“Kakausapin namin ang mga female employees na nandoon sa Conference ng NBI para malaman natin ang reaction nila sa nagsayaw,” he added.

The secretary conceded that even if the NBI chief had left the conference, there were many ranking officials who were still at the Diamond Hotel conference when the female performer danced along with comedian Long Mejia.

“Definitely, we do not like this to happen. We will investigate it,” Remulla had earlier said when videos of the incident surfaced online.

“These are the forms of misbehavior that we don’t need in the country,” he stressed.
