BARMM provides emergency vehicles

ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has turned over P28 million worth of transport vehicles to Tawi-Tawi and Maguindanao del Norte provinces.

BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim recently led the turnover of health care and social services for far-flung communities in the two-component provinces of BARMM.

Ebrahim turned over 1-unit sea ambulance, 1-unit fire truck and 2-unit patients transport vehicles intended for a hospital in Tawi-Tawi, and for the League of Barangay in Northern Kabuntalan and Camp Abubakar community in Maguindanao del Norte.

“This is not the first time — we have been turning over projects funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund of the members of parliament,” Ebrahim said.

“With the signing of the peace accord, we can now feel its positive impact on our people, Alhamdulillah. I’m delighted and humbled because this occasion manifests that the peace process and the BARMM government are working,” Ebrahim emphasized.

He assured that the Government of the Day’s transitional authority is working diligently to bring a positive difference to every constituent of all communities in the Bangsamoro region.

Meanwhile, Minster Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo of the Ministry of Interior and Local Government explained that the transport vehicles were funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund of Members of Parliament.

“TDIF is a fund that we used to speed up the recovery and rehabilitation phase and then transition towards a stronger institution of government in the Bangsamoro. That is the idea of TDIF,” he explained.
