Sandwich lovers had a chance to indulge in their favorite food at the Lebanon Area Fair in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on 25 July.
Volunteers called “Bologna Security” prepared a 45.7-meter-long Lebanon bologna sandwich that was showcased at the fair.
Every foot of the sandwich was sponsored for $100 to raise funds for the Lebanon County Christian Ministries and their efforts to help people dealing with food insecurity in the Lebanon Valley, Associated Press reported.
Of course, no individual could have gorged in one sitting on such a monstrous sandwich containing “600 slices of provolone cheese and 1,200 slices of half-sweet and original Seltzer’s Lebanon bologna,” according to AP.
There is another chance for sandwich lovers to have an eat-all-you-can treat if they sign up for a Subway contest before its midnight deadline of 3 August.
“The contest is open only to customers over the age of 18 in all 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Nebraskans need to be 21 years old or older, while Alabama residents need to be at least 19,” Fox News reported.
Anyone who signs up for the contest and agrees to legally change their first name to Subway will get a lifetime supply of free Subway sandwiches.
Signing up is through SubwayNameChange.com.
